Rural Road Detection Dataset (R2D2)

Rural roads play an important role in America’s transportation system, enabling movement of people and cargo to their destinations. It is estimated that around 68% of America’s roads are rural roads. The Texas A&M Rural Road Detection Dataset (R2D2) is the first  dataset to provide large scale annotations for Rural Scenes. It dataset has been prepared to facilitate development and testing of algorithms to enable deployment of Autonomous Vehicles in Small and Rural Communities (SRC’s).
